MLB Note - Chicago White Sox Moncada, Yoan
Jul 27, 2017 - 7:28 AM 2B Yoan Moncada, the No. 1 ranked prospect in baseball, hit the first major league home run of his career when he delivered a solo shot off Jake Arrieta in the seventh inning of the White Sox' 7-3 loss to the Cubs on Wednesday night. Moncada, who was called up from Triple-A Charlotte last week, drove the home run into center field over the outstretched glove of Ian Happ. Moncada then returned to the White Sox dugout where his teammates avoided him in a long-standing baseball tradition. It didn't faze Moncada. "It means a lot because it was the first (home run) of many that are coming," he said. "And I'm happy."No one has shouted yet.
