MLB Note - Houston Astros Altuve, Jose
Jul 29, 2017 - 8:19 AM 2B Jose Altuve is drawing MVP talk for his fine season for Houston. Friday night he had a hand in three of the four innings in which the Astros scored during a 6-5 win over Detroit. He tripled and scored in the first, doubled to set up a run in the third and singled and scored on Josh Reddick's game-winning three-run home run in the eighth. "Altuve just continues to be Jose Altuve," manager A.J. Hinch said. "There's no other way to describe him other than he's in the elite category across the board. They pitch him away, he hits the ball off the right center field wall. They pitch him in he hits the ball down the line. He continues the inning to set up Reddick with the two singles. He's usually always in the middle of something that we're doing right."No one has shouted yet.
