MLB Note - Atlanta Braves Adams, Matt
Aug 15, 2017 - 9:11 AM LF Matt Adams, a first baseman by trade, has been playing the position regularly, but manager Brian Snitker opted to start Danny Santana at the position because he is a better defensive option at Coors Field, where left field is vast and the biggest part of the outfield. "There's a lot of room to roam out there," Snitker said. "With Danny's speed, it's a better fit defensively. (Adams) is a first baseman going out there trying to play left field. Danny just gives us a better defensive option." Santana and Lane Adams are expected to handle the duties in left field in this four-game series. No one has shouted yet.
