MLB Note - Kansas City Royals Junis, Jake
Aug 16, 2017 - 11:09 AM RHP Jake Junis will remain in the Royals' rotation but will have his turn skipped on Sunday in the finale of a three-game home series against Cleveland. The Royals have an off day Thursday, and RHP Jason Hammel will start Sunday on his regular four days' rest. Royals manager Ned Yost said Junis would make his next start during the three-game series against Colorado that begins Aug. 22. Yost said he does not plan to use Junis in the bullpen. "No. We'll keep him starting right now," Yost said Tuesday. Junis is 5-2 with a 4.50 ERA in 11 games, including eight starts, for the Royals. He was called up Monday from Triple-A Omaha and gave up two runs on four hits over six innings in a 6-2 win against Oakland.No one has shouted yet.
