MLB Note - Atlanta Braves Albies, Ozzie

Aug 16, 2017 - 11:09 AM 2B Ozzie Albies led off for the first time and went 0-for-4 after hitting seventh or eighth in his first 12 games in the majors. With regular leadoff hitter Ender Inciarte not in the lineup, manager Brian Snitker moved the switch-hitting Albies in the leadoff spot against Rockies LHP Kyle Freeland. "Why not?" Snitker said. "Right-handed swing's pretty good, what the heck, get him up there more. Give him a chance, with the speed and everything, to run around a little bit." Albies entered the game hitting .205 (8-for-39) with one double, two three-run homers and seven RBIs. Batting right-handed, Albies was 2-for-6 (.333) with both homers and six RBIs. He was 6-for-33 (.182) with one double and one RBI from the left side.
