MLB Note - Seattle Mariners Gaviglio, Sam

Aug 16, 2017 - 11:10 AM RHP Sam Gaviglio was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma for his third stint with Seattle this season. In 12 games for the Mariners, including 11 starts, he is 3-5 with a 4.62 ERA. "He gives us length (out of the bullpen) if we need it early," manager Scott Servais said. "He hasn't thrown in five or six days and is fresh and ready to go. We've seen what he can do when he's on and throwing the ball great. He had some really good outings for us. He struggled a little at the end before we sent him down, but he's been throwing the ball fine in Triple-A. If there's an opportunity to use him, we won't hesitate."
