MLB Note - Houston Astros McCann, Brian

Aug 16, 2017 - 11:09 AM C Brian McCann (knee) was to see a doctor in Houston on Tuesday after being placed on the disabled list Monday. He had been playing with the injury for about two weeks, said manager A.J. Hinch, who said he noticed an appreciable difference in McCann's flexibility the last few days. "He gutted it out for a while," Hinch said. "I changed his playing time a little bit to try to keep the inflammation out of his knee." The Astros hope McCann can return when he is eligible after 10 days, but "until we see the doctor I'm not sure," Hinch said.
