"I like the idea of giving Paul Goldschmidt a half-day off," manager Torey Lovullo said. "It makes the most sense for me. To get Paul off his feet makes a lot of sense to me. I also am thinking about it with J.D." The D-backs also play a three-game interleague series in Minnesota this weekend and finish the regular season with three games in Kansas City.
