Aug 16, 2017 - 11:09 AM OF Matt Joyce hit his 17th run of the season, a solo shot leading off the game, and added a three-run double in the eighth inning of a 10-8 victory against Kansas City. Joyce's triple, which came during a six-run rally, put the A's ahead 9-8. Joyce scored on SS Marcus Semien's single to make it 10-8. The Royals had scored five times in the top of the eighth to take an 8-4 lead. "That was awesome," Joyce said of the Athletics' comeback win. Joyce's home run, which came off RHP Jason Hammel, was his fourth this season and eighth of his career leading off a game.
