MLB Note - St. Louis Cardinals Lynn, Lance
Aug 16, 2017 - 11:09 AM RHP Lance Lynn, a name bandied about around the trade deadline but now pitching for a sudden contender, faces the Red Sox in the second game of the two-game series in Boston on Wednesday night. Since May 1, he is 4-1 with a major-league-best 1.61 ERA in eight starts, and he hasn't lost since July 4. He has held opponents to two runs or fewer in a major-league-best 18 starts and one or none in 12 -- tied for the big-league lead. He is 0-1 with a 2.08 ERA in two regular-season starts against the Red Sox, losing to them (and Wednesday opponent Eduardo Rodriguez) on May 16. He also pitched twice against Boston in the 2013 World Series, starting Game 4 and taking the loss.No one has shouted yet.
