Aug 16, 2017 - 11:08 AM RHP Jake Faria will try for his second win in two starts against the Toronto Blue Jays Wednesday in the third game of a four-game series at the Rogers Centre. His only previous appearance against the Blue Jays came June 13 when he allowed six hits, one walk and one run while striking out eight in 6 1/3 innings. It was the second start of three straight games in which he had pitched six innings or longer and allowed one run or no runs to begin his career. He allowed a career-high five runs Friday against the Cleveland Indians, the second time in 12 career starts that he has allowed more than three runs. He allowed six hits and three walks and struck out seven in six innings.
