MLB Note - Minnesota Twins Albers, Andrew
Aug 16, 2017 - 11:10 AM LHP Andrew Albers had his contract selected from Triple-A Tacoma and made his Mariners debut on Tuesday, starting against Baltimore. Albers, who was acquired from Atlanta in a minor league trade Aug. 11, allowed one run on six hits in five innings to earn his first victory since 2013. "You're seeing the maturity of a guy who's been in the big leagues before. He did his job," Mariners manager Scott Servais said. Albers allowed three hits in the first inning and two more in the second, but the only run scored on a solo homer by Jonathan Schoop. "It wasn't pretty, it was a grind," Albers said of the first couple of innings. "That's how the game goes sometimes. You've got to persevere through that and stick with the game plan."No one has shouted yet.
