MLB Note - Detroit Tigers Kinsler, Ian
Aug 17, 2017 - 8:56 AM 2B Ian Kinsler hit a leadoff home run in Detroit's 12-6 loss to Texas on Wednesday. The leadoff long ball was the 46th of his career, tied for fourth all-time with Jimmy Rollins. Kinsler also had a handshake with umpire Angel Hernandez as the second baseman took his position. Kinsler, who was ejected from the Monday game by Hernandez, lashed out at the umpire on Tuesday, saying, among other things, that "he needs to find another job." Said a somewhat reticent Kinsler about the encounter: "Angel just shook my hand." Asked if was surprised about it: "No."No one has shouted yet.
