MLB Note - Baltimore Orioles Jones, Adam
Aug 17, 2017 - 8:55 AM OF Adam Jones was given a rare day off Wednesday, with Craig Gentry taking his place in the field. Jones has played in 113 of the Orioles' 121 games this season. "He's fine. Just wear and tear," manager Buck Showalter said. With the team idle Thursday, that gives Jones back-to-back days off. "His durability is amazing to me. Adam's been a rock," Showalter said. "You see the stuff where he fouls a ball off his feet, legs, shins. ... It's one of those things you almost have to take out of his hands. If you ask him, he's always going (to play)."No one has shouted yet.
