MLB Note - Seattle Mariners Martin, Leonys
Aug 17, 2017 - 8:55 AM RF Leonys Martin hit a homer that provided what turned out to be the decisive run and also made a sliding catch in the ninth inning of a 7-6 victory against Baltimore on Wednesday. With the bases loaded and no outs in the ninth, Martin ranged far to his right and turned a potential two-run double by Manny Machado into a sacrifice fly. The play was magnified because CF Jarrod Dyson is nursing a sore groin and was inserted into the game only after Guillermo Heredia was hit by a pitch. "Dyson doesn't feel good right now, so I was trying to take care of my guy," Martin said.No one has shouted yet.
