MLB Note - New York Mets Milone, Tommy
Aug 20, 2017 - 8:19 AM LHP Tommy Milone was activated from the 10-day disabled list Saturday. Milone, who was placed on the disabled list May 24 (retroactive to May 22) with a sprained knee, went 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA in five rehab starts for the rookie-level Gulf Coast League Mets and Double-A Binghamton. He could be a candidate to make starts for the Mets down the stretch, especially with LHP Steven Matz struggling badly over the last two months. Milone is 0-2 with a 10.50 ERA in three starts this season for the Mets, who claimed him off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers on May 7, and 1-2 with a 7.91 ERA in nine games (six starts) between the Mets and Brewers overall. No one has shouted yet.
