MLB Note - Cleveland Indians Kluber, Corey
Aug 20, 2017 - 8:21 AM RHP Corey Kluber is scheduled to start Wednesday against the Red Sox, but that is questionable. Kluber left after spraining his right ankle covering first base in the sixth inning Friday against the Royals. "He's a little stiff, which I think is normal, but not more than that," Indians manager Terry Francona said. "So, I think (Kluber) thinks he'll make his start. I think the trainers think it's probably 50-50. Which, I guess the good part of that is, 'okay, if he doesn't,' and we'll make plans in case he's not ready. But, maybe he gets backed up a day or two. And I think that's probably the worst case scenario. So, it'll all depend on what he's able to do tomorrow ... he needs to start preparing for his start, and I think sometimes if you can't prepare for it, it probably behooves us to move him back a little bit and let him have a normal five-day cycle."No one has shouted yet.
