MLB Note - New York Mets Plawecki, Kevin
Aug 20, 2017 - 8:19 AM C Kevin Plawecki was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Saturday, when he went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in the Mets' 8-1 victory over the Marlins. This is the second trip to the majors this season for Plawecki, who was with the Mets from April 19 through May 25 but collected only 24 at-bats in that span. Plawecki earned the promotion by batting .328 with nine home runs and 45 RBIs in 64 games at Las Vegas. Manager Terry Collins said Saturday afternoon that Plawecki, who has been shuffled between the majors and Triple-A in each of the last three seasons, will split time behind the plate with starting C Travis d'Arnaud for the remainder of the year. Plawecki is batting .143 with one home runs and six RBIs in 11 games for the Mets this season.No one has shouted yet.
