MLB Note - Detroit Tigers Machado, Dixon
Aug 21, 2017 - 7:05 AM SS Dixon Machado got a rare start Sunday, giving SS Jose Iglesias a day off. Machado rifled a two-run double off the third baseman's glove to spark Detroit's four-run sixth. "He's produced all year for us," RHP Justin Verlander said. "To produce like he does, playing just once in awhile, is pretty hard to do. I'm happy for him. He's looking more comfortable in the clubhouse as the season has progressed. I think he's going to be a pretty good player for us in the future."No one has shouted yet.
