MLB Note - Milwaukee Brewers Knebel, Corey

Aug 21, 2017 - 7:06 AM RHP Corey Knebel was summoned from the bullpen with two outs in the ninth and runners at the corners after the Rockies had scored twice to cut Milwaukee's lead to 8-4. Knebel struck out pinch hitter Mike Tauchman, the only batter he faced, to end the game and earn his 26th save in 31 chances. Knebel also set a franchise record for most strikeouts in a single season with 99 and did it in 58 2/3 innings. Julio Machado set the old record of 98 strikeouts in 1991 in 88 2/3 innings.
