MLB Note - Milwaukee Brewers Anderson, Chase

Aug 21, 2017 - 7:06 AM RHP Chase Anderson (left oblique strain) was reinstated from the disabled list and started against Rockies. He gave up two hits and one first-inning run in five innings with three walks and four strikeouts and hit two batters in his 73-pitch outing. Anderson sustained his oblique strain while swinging a bat June 28, which was the last time he pitched for the Brewers before Sunday. Anderson made rehab starts on Aug. 8 with low Class A Wisconsin, throwing 47 pitches in 3 1/3 innings, and on Aug. 13 with Triple-A Colorado Springs, when he threw 67 pitches in 4 1/3 innings. "Chase picked up where he left off," Brewers manager Craig Counsell said. "I thought as the game went on, he got better. I thought he struggled a little bit early just with some feel for some stuff. But the fastball still played really well today and he started getting his fastball going as the game went on."
