MLB Note - Milwaukee Brewers Anderson, Chase
Aug 21, 2017 - 7:06 AM RHP Chase Anderson (left oblique strain) was reinstated from the disabled list and started against Rockies. He gave up two hits and one first-inning run in five innings with three walks and four strikeouts and hit two batters in his 73-pitch outing. Anderson sustained his oblique strain while swinging a bat June 28, which was the last time he pitched for the Brewers before Sunday. Anderson made rehab starts on Aug. 8 with low Class A Wisconsin, throwing 47 pitches in 3 1/3 innings, and on Aug. 13 with Triple-A Colorado Springs, when he threw 67 pitches in 4 1/3 innings. "Chase picked up where he left off," Brewers manager Craig Counsell said. "I thought as the game went on, he got better. I thought he struggled a little bit early just with some feel for some stuff. But the fastball still played really well today and he started getting his fastball going as the game went on."No one has shouted yet.
