MLB Note - San Francisco Giants Posey, Buster
Aug 21, 2017 - 7:06 AM C Buster Posey had a painful day at the ballpark in Sunday's loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. He did have two hits and an RBI, but he got the worst of a collision with Phillies C/1B Jorge Alfaro when he was thrown out at the plate in the second inning. He jammed his left shoulder when tagging out Phillies CF Nick Williams at the plate in the seventh and got plunked with a RHP Hector Neris fastball in the ribs in the eighth, a beaning he called intentional. Giants manager Bruce Bochy said after the game that Posey would not start Monday's series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers. No one has shouted yet.
