White Sox add RHP Fulmer to start vs. Twins

Aug 21, 2017 - 3:59 PM The Chicago White Sox added right-hander Carson Fulmer from Triple-A Charlotte to serve as the 26th player on the active roster for Monday's doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins.

Fulmer, a top prospect in the White Sox organization, is scheduled to start the second game in Chicago on Monday night.

The 23-year-old Fulmer is 7-8 with a 5.61 ERA over 122 innings with 95 strikeouts in 24 starts this season for Charlotte. He made eight relief appearances for the White Sox last season in his major league debut, going 0-2 with an 8.49 ERA over 11 2/3 innings and 10 strikeouts.

Fulmer was selected by the White Sox in the first round (eighth overall) of the 2015 draft out of Vanderbilt. He was named to the All-Star Futures Game in 2016.
