MLB Note - Los Angeles Angels Ramirez, JC
Aug 22, 2017 - 6:55 AM RHP JC Ramirez was placed on the 10-day disabled list Monday because of a strained right elbow. Ramirez had to leave Saturday's game in Baltimore in the sixth inning with what he described initially as a tight forearm. Ramirez has not had an MRI exam yet and there currently is no timetable for his return. He was scheduled to start Thursday's game against Texas, but the club will have to find another starter for the game. One candidate is Troy Scribner. who is currently at Triple-A Salt Lake but is 2-0 with a 3.46 ERA in four games (two starts) with the Angels. Ramirez has been the club's most consistent starter this season, his 11 victories leading the team.No one has shouted yet.
