MLB Note - Los Angeles Angels Skaggs, Tyler
Aug 22, 2017 - 6:55 AM LHP Tyler Skaggs was reinstated from the bereavement list and started Monday's game against the Rangers. Skaggs left the team late last week following the death of his grandfather. Skaggs went 5 1/3 innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on four hits and one walk, getting the loss. The big blow was a three-run homer by Rangers 3B Adrian Beltre in the third inning. "After the third I think he settled down a little bit, but he missed a lot of spots early in the game," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. "He minimized damage in the first inning (when the Rangers scored one run), but then coming out of it he got behind some hitters and those guys squared some balls up."No one has shouted yet.
