MLB Note - Chicago White Sox Abreu, Jose
Aug 22, 2017 - 6:55 AM 1B Jose Abreu homered in the first game of Monday's doubleheader when he delivered a solo shot in the fifth inning. Abreu, who earlier extended his hitting streak to 10 games with a double, drove his 25th home run of the second into the bleachers in left center field. Abreu is the first player in White Sox franchise history to begin his career with four straight seasons of at least 25 home runs and is the 10th player in major league history to accomplish that feat. His 10-game hitting streak is the ninth of his career and Abreu is hitting .465 during his current 10-game stretch. Abreu went 0-for-4 in the second game of the doubleheader to snap his 10-game hitting streak.No one has shouted yet.
