MLB Note - Detroit Tigers Bell, Chad
Aug 24, 2017 - 8:03 AM LHP Chad Bell was optioned to Triple-A Toledo after Wednesday's game. Bell took the proverbial bullet, pitching four innings out of the bullpen during a 10-2 loss. He gave up two runs on five hits while striking out six, tying the team's season high for most strikeouts by a reliever. He would have been unavailable for a few days, prompting the club to call up a fresh arm. "We've been eating a few innings here and there," he said. "Just trying to give everything I had and save an arm."No one has shouted yet.
