MLB Note - Seattle Mariners Martin, Leonys

Aug 24, 2017 - 8:04 AM OF Leonys Martin was designated for assignment on Wednesday to make room for RHP David Phelps. Manager Scott Servais said the club would re-sign Martin when the rosters expand on Sept. 1 if he is able to clear waivers. In 34 games with the Mariners, Martin batted .174 with three homers and eight RBIs, with 29 strikeouts in 115 at-bats.
