MLB Note - Cincinnati Reds Farrell, Luke
Aug 24, 2017 - 8:03 AM RHP Luke Farrell made his Reds debut and allowed one hit and two walks and struck out three in three innings against the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday. Farrell was recalled from Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday. His only major-league appearance came July 1 when he started for the Kansas City Royals and had a no-decision. Farrell was claimed off waivers from the Dodgers on Aug. 9 and went 0-2 in two appearances at Louisville. "We kind of feel like he's the right guy for this particular spot -- this particular role at this particular time," Reds manager Bryan Price said. "He can go out and pitch five or six innings if we need it." Farrell is the son of Boston Red Sox manager John Farrell.No one has shouted yet.
