MLB Note - St. Louis Cardinals Rosenthal, Trevor

Aug 24, 2017 - 8:04 AM RHP Trevor Rosenthal (right elbow) was transferred to the 60-day DL and will undergo Tommy John surgery next week, putting him out for the year. Rosenthal finished 3-4 with a 3.40 ERA in 50 outings, saving 11 games and fanning 76 batters in 47 1/3 innings. Rosenthal becomes a free agent at year's end, and his market value could be affected by not being available until sometime during the 2018 season.
