MLB Note - Colorado Rockies Anderson, Tyler
Sep 17, 2017 - 9:23 AM LHP Tyler Anderson held the Padres hitless for 5 2/3 innings and gave up two singles in six scoreless innings with two walks and three strikeouts. He has pitched 10 consecutive scoreless innings in two games since being reinstated Sept. 10. On Monday at Arizona, Anderson pitched four scoreless innings in relief, throwing 59 pitches in that game. He threw 73 pitches against the Padres, and manager Bud Black said Anderson should be good for 80-90 pitches in his next start, which will be Thursday at San Diego. Anderson made his first start for the Rockies since June 25. After that game, he was placed on the 10-day disabled list for the second time with left knee inflammation and underwent arthroscopic surgery July 3 to have the knee cleaned out. Anderson pitched in three rehab games with Triple-A Albuquerque before the Rockies reinstated him from the 60-day disabled list.No one has shouted yet.
