"We thought ultimately we wanted to get him as many at-bats as possible," manager Rick Renteria said Sunday. "And I think he naturally might slot into the two, three or four (spot in the order). We are now, I think, seeing a little bit of a difference in his approaches in terms recognition of pitches because he's having so many opportunities to see them. Mokie's still seeing a lot of off-speed stuff, a lot of secondary pitches, so I think what's happening is he's just starting to make an adjustment there. It's not like they're just going to pump him with fastballs because he can do some damage."
