Sep 20, 2017 - 9:12 AM RHP Kevin Gausman has thrown better in the past two months, and he turned in one of his best efforts of the season Tuesday versus Boston. He set down the first 14 batters he faced and gave up only three hits in eight shutout innings. Gausman struck out seven with only one walk and only had trouble in one inning while Boston LHP Drew Pomeranz threw 6 1/3 shutout innings as the Red Sox won in 11 innings. "Those are the games that are really fun," Gausman said. "You kind of have a competition between each other -- who's going to crack first? Neither of us did."
