MLB Note - Cleveland Indians Brantley, Michael
Sep 21, 2017 - 9:27 AM LF Michael Brantley's hopes of playing in the postseason took a hit after he received a second opinion on his sprained right ankle that confirmed the initial diagnosis of a deltoid ligament sprain along with right ankle synovitis. Brantley, who is hitting .299 with nine homers, 52 RBIs, 20 doubles, 11 stolen bases and a .358 on-base percentage in 88 games, must shut down all running activities for seven to 10 days before being re-evaluated. Brantley's absence has resulted in Austin Jackson moving to left field and Jason Kipnis playing center field for the first time since college. No one has shouted yet.
