MLB Note - Cincinnati Reds Hamilton, Billy
Sep 21, 2017 - 9:27 AM CF Billy Hamilton was reinstated from the 10-day disabled list on Wednesday. He had been out since Sept. 7 with a fractured left thumb and just had the splint removed on Monday. Hamilton will not immediately return to the starting lineup but could be used as a pinch runner or late-inning defensive replacement. "Today's the first day he's taking live batting practice on the field," manager Bryan Price said Wednesday. "We'll have to see how his hand feels with the ball coming off the bat. He needs repetitions on the field and in the (batting) cage before we can start him in a game."No one has shouted yet.
