MLB Note - St. Louis Cardinals Gant, John

Sep 22, 2017 - 8:38 AM RHP John Gant will make his first start of the season Sunday in Pittsburgh. He made seven starts last season for Atlanta, going 1-3 with a 4.80 ERA. Gant was moved into the rotation earlier this week, replacing RHP Jack Flaherty who was moved to the bullpen to limit his innings. "John's stuff looks good," said Cardinals manager Mike Matheny. "It has deception, life and movement, all those things. He's been having a nice season, and we thought we'd give him the opportunity."
