MLB Note - Cleveland Indians Kipnis, Jason

Sep 22, 2017 - 8:38 AM INF/OF Jason Kipnis was not in the starting lineup Thursday against the Angels, getting a day off as manager Terry Francona wants to ease him back into the lineup after returning from a strained right hamstring Sept. 17. Kipnis also is getting on-the-job training in center field, having started the previous three games there after not playing the position since college. Kipnis and Greg Allen, who started Thursday, are sharing the center field duties because of the season-ending broken hand suffered by Bradley Zimmer.
