MLB Note - Washington Nationals Harper, Bryce
Sep 23, 2017 - 8:30 AM RF Bryce Harper (left knee bruise) took another step towards returning to game action Friday afternoon, when he took batting practice, ran the bases and shagged fly balls in the outfield prior to the Nationals' 7-6 loss to the Mets. The activity was the most rigorous for Harper since he took part in a simulated game on Saturday. The Nationals hope Harper, who has been out since he was injured trying to leg out an infield hit on Aug. 12, can return to the lineup next week in preparation for the playoffs. Harper is batting .326 with 29 homers and 87 RBIs in 106 games this season. No one has shouted yet.
