MLB Note - Chicago White Sox Rodon, Carlos
Sep 24, 2017 - 7:46 AM LHP Carlos Rodon, who will not pitch for the rest of the season after experiencing shoulder stiffness this month, said doctors still are trying to figure out his exact ailment. Rodon said he could not answer whether offseason shoulder surgery would be a possibility. Rodon went 2-5 with a 4.15 ERA and 76 strikeouts in 12 starts over 69 1/3 innings this season. "He continues to be a big part of what we view as the future of the organization," White Sox manager Rick Renteria said. "Unfortunately this year, he's been down quite a bit. So, assuming he comes back in a good situation and is healthy and is capable of going out and performing, he fits into one of the five guys who are going to be out there for us (in the starting rotation) next season."No one has shouted yet.
