MLB Note - New York Mets Flexen, Chris
Sep 25, 2017 - 8:54 AM RHP Chris Flexen will make his first start in more than three weeks Monday afternoon, when he takes the mound for the Mets in the opener of a doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves at Citi Field. Flexen began his major league career by making eight straight starts before being shifted to the bullpen following the return of RHP Matt Harvey from the disabled list. In four appearances out of the bullpen, Flexen is 0-0 with a 1.80 ERA. Flexen pitched most recently last Wednesday, when he threw two scoreless innings as the Mets fell to the Miami Marlins, 9-2. He last started on Sept. 3, when Flexen took the defeat after giving up seven runs over four innings as the Mets lost to the Houston Astros, 8-6. Flexen has never faced the Braves.No one has shouted yet.
