MLB Note - New York Mets Nido, Tomas
Sep 26, 2017 - 9:47 AM C Tomas Nido made his first major league start in the first game of Monday's doubleheader, when he went 1-for-3 with a two-run double that produced the only runs in the Mets' 9-2 loss to the Braves. It was only the fourth appearance in a game for Nido since he was recalled from Double-A Binghamton on Sept. 12. With the Mets committed to a 50/50 split of the starting duties between C Travis d'Arnaud and C Kevin Plawecki, both of whom are expected to share the job next season, it is unlikely Nido draws another start this year. Nido is batting .500 with three RBIs in six at-bats with the Mets.No one has shouted yet.
