MLB Note - San Francisco Giants Cueto, Johnny
Sep 26, 2017 - 9:48 AM RHP Johnny Cueto gave up five hits and two runs in six innings against an Arizona lineup that featured one starter Monday, the day after the Diamondbacks cliched home field advantage in the NL wild card game. "I knew a few of them," Cueto said of the lineup he faced. "But we're in the big leagues. It's very uncomfortable, so you have to be extra careful." Cueto is scheduled to make the last start of the regular season against San Diego at AT&T Park on Sunday, but manager Bruce Bochy said, "We could tweak that." Cueto is 8-8 with a 4.43 ERA in 24 starts. After this season, Cueto can opt out of a contract would pay him $106 million through 2022.No one has shouted yet.
