MLB Note - Boston Red Sox Nunez, Eduardo

Sep 26, 2017 - 9:47 AM 3B Eduardo Nunez, who returned to the lineup Monday after missing 13 games with a right knee injury, left the game against the Toronto Blue Jays after aggravating the injury on his second at-bat. Nunez, serving as Boston's designated hitter, doubled on the second pitch he saw in the first inning. However, he crumbled to the ground after fouling a pitch into the air in the third. He got up after being attended to, attempted to jog and briefly stayed in the game. Nunez then was robbed of a hit on the next pitch by diving Toronto third baseman Josh Donaldson but was replaced by pinch hitter Sam Travis in the fifth inning.
