MLB Note - Texas Rangers Hamels, Cole
Sep 26, 2017 - 9:47 AM LHP Cole Hamels (11-4, 3.80 ERA) is slated to make his 23rd start of the season on Tuesday in the middle installment of this three-game set with the Astros. Hamels, 33, has made three straight quality starts, going 2-1 with a 2.53 ERA. He earned the win in Texas' 4-2 victory on Sept. 21 at Seattle after going eight innings and allowing one earned run on three hits with eight strikeouts. He is 7-3, 3.78 ERA in 15 career starts against Houston, including a win Aug. 11 in Arlington after seven shutout innings. The Rangers are 5-0 in Hamels' five career starts vs. the Astros in a Texas uniform. He has not lost to the Astros since Sept. 13, 2011, at Houston as a member of the Phillies.No one has shouted yet.
