MLB Note - Atlanta Braves Dickey, R.A.

Sep 26, 2017 - 9:47 AM RHP R.A. Dickey may be making the penultimate appearance of his career Tuesday night, when he takes the mound for the Braves in the third game of a four-game series against the New York Mets at Citi Field. Dickey earned the win in his most recent start last Thursday after allowing two runs on four hits and no walks while striking out four over eight innings as the Braves beat the Washington Nationals 3-2. Afterward, Dickey, who turns 43 next month, acknowledged he may retire following the season. Pitching at Citi Field during his final week as a big leaguer would be appropriate for Dickey, who revived his career with the Mets from 2010 through 2012 and went 20-6 while winning the National League Cy Young Award during his final season in New York. Dickey is 4-1 with a 3.55 ERA in six career appearances (five starts) against the Mets.
