MLB Note - Los Angeles Dodgers Turner, Justin
Sep 26, 2017 - 9:48 AM 3B Justin Turner is expected to return to the lineup this week after missing the last four games with flu-like systems and a jammed thumb on his right hand. ``It's getting better. I've been texting all day,'' the affable Turner said Monday. Turner hit balls off a tee Sunday and took batting practice against live pitching in the indoor batting cage before Monday's game. ``It's getting better every day,'' Turner said. ``The playoffs start October 6 and I don't want to do anything to push the injury back. I'll have plenty of at-bats if I get back for the last few games.'' Turner was also named recipient of the franchise's Roy Campanella Award for Most Inspirational player. ``There's nothing more validating than something that comes from (your teammates),'' Turner said.No one has shouted yet.
