MLB Note - Toronto Blue Jays Stroman, Marcus
Oct 1, 2017 - 7:38 AM RHP Marcus Stroman surpassed the 200-inning mark for the second straight season as he finished at 201 after pitching four innings Saturday. He finished three shy of last season's total and finished the season by going 13-9 with a 3.09 ERA. "It's been a huge point of emphasis of mine," said Stroman, who added he is pursuing 220 innings next year. "I know there was big questions from critics, analysts, saying that I could never be a durable guy because of my height so going out there and pitching 200 innings each and every year is kind of a goal of mine and to be able to get to that is extremely gratifying." Stroman gave up 21 homers with three of those coming against Yankees RF Aaron Judge. After the game, Stroman tweeted: @TheJudge44 is creating history. He hits baseballs extremely far too. Lol looking forward to competing against him the rest of my career! No one has shouted yet.
