MLB Note - San Francisco Giants Cain, Matt
Oct 2, 2017 - 5:51 AM RHP Matt Cain, who announced his retirement, pitched the final game of his career Saturday, shutting out the Padres on two hits over five innings in the Giants' eventual 3-2 loss. Cain did not get a decision and thus finished his career with a 104-118 record. The no-decision was the 109th of his career, the 44th in which he left with a lead. The three-time All-Star was making his 331st career start, the second most for a Giant in their West Coast history behind RHP Juan Marichal's 446.No one has shouted yet.
