Oct 2, 2017 - 5:52 AM 3B Adrian Beltre went 1-for-2, breaking up Daniel Mengden's perfect game bid with a leadoff single in the fifth. Beltre exited for the pinch runner. He finished the season with 3,048 career hits and will start 2018 five hits behind Rod Carew for a share of the 25th spot all time. Beltre was limited to 94 games this year. "I wanted to come out and play a couple of innings and go home knowing I finished on the field," he said.
