MLB Note - Los Angeles Dodgers Puig, Yasiel
Oct 10, 2017 - 8:24 AM RF Yasiel Puig walked twice in four plate appearances and finished the NL Division Series 5-for-11 with four RBIs. He had an 10-pitch at-bat off Arizona RHP Zack Greinke in the first inning, setting a tone for a patient attack. "Just the focus, the fight, and the understanding that to compete to try to win every single pitch, there is a huge value in that," manager Dave Roberts said. Because of his severe reverse splits, Puig hit fifth in the lineup against the two Arizona right-handed starters in the NLDS and eighth against LHP Robbie Ray. Puig hit .183 with two homers and 10 RBIs in 145 plate appearances against lefties and .288 with 26 homers and 64 RBIs in 425 plate appearances this season. No one has shouted yet.
